Alternative Comics Publisher Profiled in Magazine

GAINESVILLE MAGAZINE looks at publisher Jeff Mason

Alternative Comics publisher Jeff Mason is profiled in the April/May 2005 issue of Gainesville Magazine. Click on the image to read the article.

Jeff Mason will travel across country to join hundreds of exhibitors from California and around the world at the Alternative Press Expo (APE) in San Francisco running April 9-10, 2005. A number of cartoonists published by Alternative Comics will be on hand to debut eagerly anticipated new books and for autograph and sketching sessions for their fans. In its eleventh year APE now serves as one of the preeminent showcases for the exhibition of independent comic books and the discovery of new creative talent.

Jeff Mason will join editors April 28-29 at the Savannah College of Art and Design for Editors� Day 2005. This year Bob Schreck, Batman group editor for DC Comics; Axel Alonso, group editor for Marvel Comics; Chris Staros, editor-in-chief and publisher of Top Shelf Productions; Jeremy Ross, editorial director of Tokyopop; Matt Milberger, White Wolf editor and SCAD alumnus; and Jeff Mason, Publisher of Alternative Comics, will visit the Savannah College of Art and Design to attend classes and review portfolios for sequential art students.
